The city’s castle Wawel is within 12 minutes. | |  The monumental Salt Mine located in Wieliczka near Krakow is the only mining facility, working non-stop since medieval times to nowadays. Its genuine excavations (passages, ramps, exploitation chambers, lakes and shafts) of an altogether length of about 186,41 miles had been arranged on 9 levels in the earths core, reaching the depth of 327 metres (1 072,83 feet).
